Welcome to the PVGNOSIS website

The main aim of PVgnosis is to create an ICT Platform and associated tools needed for delivering advanced diagnosis, predictive maintenance and intelligent visual inspection on installed PV plants. In-depth, real-time information will be provided to the Plant Operator in terms of individual panel operation, shading and thermal strain from sensory equipment on-site via heterogeneous sources, such as sensory equipment on PV panels and BoS components, drone-thermal cameras, plant’s historical data and cloud-based services.

Project News

As part of the PVGnosis project, our team from the Center for Research and Technologies Hellas (CERTH) - Information Technologies Institute (ITI) proudly presented our innovative solution at the 24th International Conference on Digital Signal Processing (DSP 2023) in Rhodes, Greece, held from June 11-13. We showcased how we employ a deep learning framework to identify and rectify defects in solar panels using drone imagery. DSP 2023, a prestigious event with a legacy dating back to 1967, delves into cutting-edge digital signal technologies.

In the context of the PVGnosis project, the Center for Research and Technologies Hellas (CERTH) - Information Technologies Institute (ITI) took part in the 12th International Conference & Exhibition on Green Flexible Printed Electronics Industry (ICEFPE22) and AGRIVOLTAICS 2022 Conference. This event took place on October 10th and 12th at the Divani Caravel Hotel in Athens.
